1. Take all the necessary things with you: you can't borrow things such as pens (you must have an extra pen), pencils, rulers special equipment during an examination. Keep your watch well set and in order. Even a small thing has its own importance.

2. Have a relaxed night before your exam: Always take healthy sleep before exam. I have seen many students making this mistakes, lack of sleep can cause low concentration abilities and fatigue. Try to take healthy breakfast in morning.

3. Make maximum use of the first 15 minutes: Go through the entire paper and in the question involving choice, decide which ones to answer. Don't try to attempt any questions which you don't know the answer. Always start with simple questions only which help you to make confidence.

4. Don't act in a haste while attempting the test: Always read the question carefully before you look out for choices in hand. Don't take stress in exam, be cam while attempting the paper.

5. Jot down ideas as they come to you: While you are answering a question, information about another may suddenly strike you. Jot it down somewhere because till the time you came to that question, you might forget it.

6. Follow the sequence: You may first attempt those questions which you know well. However, try to answer the question in the serial order. Don't jumble your answers. The examiner will be confuse while checking the answer.

7. Mention relevant points: When the number of points to be written as specified in the question, then don't write extra point as no extra marks will be given for that. Suppose, in a question of 3 marks, you have been asked to state three features, then only the first 3 points will be considered. Write the answer strictly according to the question asked.

8. Proper presentation: Answers should be neat, clean and properly arranged. To have a better presentation of answers, underline the heading and key point. If possible, support your answers with relevant examples. You can use diagrams or chart where possible. Never forget presentation attracts marks.

9. Your writing must be clean and legible: A bad handwriting annoys the examiner. Avoid cutting and overwriting. For example, if the examiner got two answers sheet first is well presented with neat handwriting and second is written in bad handwriting. So the examiner will give more marks to first sheet.

10. Solve numerical problems step-wise: The first step to be mention the formula of the concerned question. Then put the given values in the formula. Be careful to mention the units and highlight the final answer. Always draw a side margin for rough calculations.

11. Expressive diagrams: Diagrams should be neat and clean. Use a sharpened pencil and a scale for making diagrams. Label the X-axis and Y-axis and give the variables along with their units. Diagrams should be supported by appropriate heading and arrow mark.

12. Don't leave any questions unanswered: If you are running shot of time, give only the main points of the answer. If you write nothing, you will lose all your marks in that particular question. Write something - it will fetch you a few marks.

13. Don't spend too much time on a question: You have a number of questions to be attempted. So, you can't afford to spend much time on answering a particular question. Plan your time of 3 hours for all the questions.

14. Never leave the examination room early: If you have time at the end, revise your paper. Make sure that you have not missed out any point because once you leave the room, you are not allowed to re-enter.
